Since Oasis split up Liam Gallagher has used any excuse to get them to reform. Manchester City winning a trophy, Arianna Grande fans getting blown to pieces and now he’s even using coronavirus.
Reuniting Oasis is his number one aim, he doesn’t really care about the events but he will use any of these to try to force what he is desperate for. When it doesn’t happen it’s the same repeated tired cycle of dissing Noel, then Noels wife and kids.
The fool seems oblivious that the last person he should be attacking is the only one who could make it happen….but who chooses not to for obvious reasons!
Oasis was Noels’ creation he who wrote the songs, musically and lyrically Oasis was all Noel’s work and he invited baby brother Liam to sing on a few songs; hence why his fortune is ten times that of Liam’s.
Other than occasional guest vocalist Liam’s input was little more than the ‘Shameless’ persona frontman, that swaggering, sulky, snarling, moody, ‘northern scum’, drug taking, council house act was of its time and of his age. It worked very well until he took it too far but more importantly it was tolerated because Liam was in his twenties and it coincided with Noel writing a couple of world class albums packed with some mighty songs.
Liam never cared for the Oasis fans in any way, despite what he’d like you to believe…far too many times he missed gigs altogether or walked off half way through – hardly someone dedicated to the band or the paying punters is it. Only after Noel split the band up did Liam start using the fans as reason to reform.
Liam is fifty now but still acting like the twentysomething. It doesn’t work anymore, it’s now just an embarrassing act and he needs to grow up he has become nothing but a joke, a comic caricature of himself. Beady Eye project was a disaster apart from at live gigs when they became one of the top 5 Oasis cover bands in the county.
Since Oasis ended Noel has released three albums which have achieved sales of around 3.5 million so far. Liam has released four albums, 2 Beady Eye and 2 solo and his total sales come to 750,000. Even this week Liam is dissing Noel as irrelevant and of no interest to anyone, Liam seemingly unaware that he only has 20% of his brother’s sales post Oasis.
I think if there is ever any hope of Oasis getting back together Liam would have to grow up. He would have to stop Tweeting stupid insults at his brother and wind his neck in during interviews where he does the same thing. He’s sadly nothing but a one trick pony but the act has worn thin, he’s dull and predictable…the very opposite of what he wants us to think of him.
The failed marriages, the forgotten kid, failed fashion label…time for Liam to grow up.
